Operational since 1929, SAAD Transport was the first to launch regular bus transportations in Lebanon. It is SACOTEL's mother company.

In 1945, Ets. Charles & Victor SAAD was established joining SAAD Transport and SAAD Import and Export Company.

In 1974, C & V SAAD represented Japan's MATSUHITA ELECTRIC CO.
(today's Panasonic Corporation) Handling its telecom products in Lebanon under National brand at the time.

In 1976, C & V SAAD moved to Ashrafieh because of war.

In 1978, SACOTEL s.a.r.l was founded under C & V SAAD to handle its line of telecom products (National- Panasonic). SACOTEL represented Italy's URMET GROUP to handle its line of interphones, video-interphones and security systems.

In 1979, SACOTEL became agent of the USA's Javelin Systems, handling another line of professional security systems.

In 1998, SACOTEL s.a.r.l turned into SACOTEL s.a.l witnessing a remarkable increase in its capital and became member of the multinational F.A.Hosri Group whose activities cover: Security and Telecommunications, Building Automation& Communication, Office Supplies and Equipment, FMGC, Distribution, Editing and Publishing, Insurance, Hotels and Restaurants, Property management.

In 2005, SACOTEL expanded its security products line and becomes agent of the Italian ELKRON s.p.a. (member of the URMET Group). SACOTEL became agent and distributor of the Italian Automation Systems Manufacturer, APRIMATICs.p.a. (member of the URMET Group).

In 2010, SACOTEL became agent and distributor of the French Access Control System Manufacturer, FDI MATELEC s.p.a.(member of the URMET Group).

In 2012, SACOTEL will witness the birth of 2 new companies:

"Urmet Sacotel Middle East (USME)", a joint venture between URMET and SACOTEL to commercialize all the products of the URMET Group in the Middle Eastern.
And
"Sacotel Panasonic Services Company (SPS)" a service company that will serve as the service center for SACOTEL.
